Chris Fell is an experienced senior marketing and business executive, with over 20 years experience across Europe, the US, Asia and Australia. Chris has served clients predominantly in the technology, professional services and financial services sectors.
Chris cut his marketing teeth on the burgeoning PC industry for Zenith Data Systems in the UK before discovering a passion for market and marketing analysis at the Gartner Group where he ran their hardware research and later their European Consulting business; providing marketing advice and guidance to some of the biggest names in the technology sector.
Chris moved to Boston USA in the mid 1990s to work for International Data Corporation’s headquarters in Framingham, MA. He ran large global marketing consulting projects for such clients as IBM, HP, DEC, Microsoft, Unisys and many other technology industry stalwarts.
In 1998, Chris moved to Sydney Australia to become Vice President and Managing Director of IDCs South Pacific operations; a move from market analysis into full business unit responsibility. The next 8 years provided Chris with a deep understanding of the importance of a strong and aligned Sales and Marketing operation in driving an effective and profitable business. IDC South Pacific saw a fivefold increase in its business during his tenure. During this time, Chris also ran a pan Asian Go To Market services business for IDC and a service that provided market analysis and guidance to technology investment firms.
In more recent times, Chris has fulfilled a long-held desire to start his own advisory and marketing services firm, g2m Solutions, working with clients to build strong business and marketing plans, skilling people to deliver those plans effectively and providing a range of marketing services to support them during execution.
Chris’ skills in market assessment forged over his years as a market analyst have been augmented by his understanding of what it takes to run a business with full P&L ownership, the problems, risks and language used. He is determined to provide clear, straight talking, hands on, “roll your sleeves up” help for his clients. align.me’s Funnel Logic methodology aligns perfectly to this philosophy.
Chris’ deep dark secret is that he originally trained as an economist earning a BA (Hons) in Economics from London Metropolitan University. He is also an Accredited Practitioner in Human Synergistics Executive Coaching methodology (LSI).
